Used the #8 countersink bit on a pine bookshelf last weekend. Set the collar depth with the included hex key and the screw heads sat perfectly flush. The 3/8-inch plug cutter made matching plugs that blend right into the grain. All 15 pieces click back into the green case, so the small set screws don't go missing.

Drill and countersink in one setup for screw heads that sit flush or can be covered with a matching wood plug.
The five countersink drills use adjustable collars, four-flute cutters, tapered drill points, and 1/4-inch hex shanks.
The included 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch plug cutters create tapered plugs for compatible countersunk holes.
Use the included hex key to loosen the collar, position it for the required depth, and secure it before drilling.
• Cabinet, furniture, and trim projects
• Flush screw installation in compatible wood products
• Plug-covered screw holes for a cleaner finished surface
1. Select the matching countersink size and disconnect the drill before installation or adjustment.
2. Set the collar depth with the included hex key, tighten the set screw, and secure the workpiece.
3. Wear eye protection, test on scrap, and drill straight at a speed suitable for the material.
4. Stop the tool fully before handling the bit; clean off chips and return every piece to the dry case.

The five countersink drills are marked #4, #6, #8, #10, and #12. The case also holds two replacement drills, two plug cutters, PH1 and PH2 bits, an extension holder, set screws, and the adjustment key.

I do a lot of woodworking, including making furniture. These countersink drill bits allow me to drill holes for flush mounting screws or for hiding screws under wooden plugs.
Tte cool thing about this set is that it comes with two plug cutters, matching the diameter of the countersink portion of the bits. By countersinking the holes deeper, I can create the space above the screws for the plugs.
I use a scrap of the wood I'm using forvtte project to cut the plugs. I only drill part way through the wood then rip the piece on my table saw to free the plugs at tte correct thickness. There are plenty of how to gideos online if my description of tte procedure is confusing to you.
Bottom line, they work well, they do exactly what they're supposed to, and the quality is excellent. I'm happy with this order.

I recently picked up the Countersink Drill Bit Set, and I have to say, it has made a noticeable difference in my woodworking projects. The set comes with 15 bits, which is more than enough to handle various tasks. I particularly appreciate the depth-adjustable feature; it allows me to customize how deep I want to countersink the screws, giving a professional finish to my work.
The 1/4" quick-change hex shank is a major plus. It makes switching between bits really fast and effortless, which is great when you're in the middle of a project. The two wood plug cutters that come with the set are also handy. They make it easy to create matching wood plugs without any hassle.
The storage case is a nice touch too. It keeps everything organized and makes it easy to find the bit I need without rummaging through my tools. I also noticed that the bits drill through wood very smoothly; there’s no splintering or rough edges, which is particularly important for the type of work I do.
Overall, I’d say this set is a solid investment for anyone into woodworking, whether you're a hobbyist or more experienced. It feels sturdy and reliable, and I can see myself using this for many projects to come. If you're on the fence about getting a countersink drill bit set, I would recommend giving this one a try.

I had a countersink set that came up missing years ago. I'm guessing my brother-in-law "borrowed" it and never returned it. Since I rarely used it, I didn't think much of it. Saw this set and decided to give it a try and I'm happy I did.
It works just like my other set. The smaller drill bit drills out the hole and the larger attachment cuts out the wood so the screw can sink below the surface. The larger part is adjustable up and down so you can alter the depth of the smaller hole. An Allen wrench locks the larger part in place so it does not slip when using.

This kit has 5 of them of various sizes, 2 regular drill bits, 2 hole plug cutters, and a couple driver bits.
The finish is really nice on the bits with sharp cutting edges for clean work.
They are all 1/4" shank and ready for quick swap outs.
The case looks good with a clear plastic cover so you can see what's inside easily. All the bits have a secure way to load them in by rotating the item out and then puling up. To put them back in, place the base of the bit in the black holder and twist back down.

The set has been very useful for general woodworking projects. I used it to predrill and countersink screw holes in pine and hardwood, which helped prevent splitting and left the screw heads sitting cleanly below the wood surface. The bits are made of heat-treated steel, which is more than adequate for wood.
The adjustable depth stop makes it easier to get consistent countersinks without drilling too deeply, and the quick-change hex shank is convenient when switching between drilling, driving screws, and countersinking. The plug cutters are also a nice inclusion for covering recessed screw heads with matching wood plugs for a cleaner finished appearance.
Everything stores neatly in the included case, so the bits stay organized instead of getting lost in a toolbox. Overall, this is a practical, well-rounded set for cabinetry, trim work, furniture assembly, and other woodworking jobs, providing a great value for the money.

Countersink drill bits are commonly used with all the carpentry projects I perform. Often I’m using them to pre-drill holes when toe-nailing with screws. Using a countersink on the edges/end grain of the 2x4s, helps in preventing the screw from splitting the wood.
This drill counter sink/ drill bit set comes with five different sizes of counter sink drill bits, as well as a couple extra pilot bits, plug cutters and a storage case.
The problem I’ve had in the past is I put lateral force on the drill bit and they break. That’s just a bad habit I have; when drilling at an angle, I push sideways and the pilot bit breaks. Just something I have to pay attention to with how I use them.
Overall, this looks like a pretty good value kit, for general purpose countersink drilling requirements.
