Works best on lids that are flat. Works well and heft. Solid steel.

Careful placement required
It seems to work OK and definitely gives you the leverage needed to open tight lids, but you need to make sure that the opener is flat on the lid and not canted such that one of the jaws engages the jar under the lid.
