- For Seed Starting: Fill seed trays with moistened coconut coir and plant seeds according to the seed packet instructions.
- For Hydroponics: Rinse and soak coconut coir thoroughly before use to remove any excess salts, then use as a growing medium in hydroponic systems.

So far so good...
I started a few pellets in a bowl of warm water and they immediately started to expand. I squished them around a bit to break up the peat in the bag and put back in the water to finish absorbing as I worked on placing seeds in already prepared pellets. This system worked well and ensured each pellet was well saturated. The baggies are closed but there is a perforated area to easily pull open or snip with scissors in order to access the starter peat to plant the seeds.
