Nice for holding fish still and not slipping out of your hands — These are a good idea for using with a small to medium size fish. I like that it gives you a firmer grip on the fish and makes it easier to remove the hook. Since most of our fishing is catch and release, I like that the three claws distribute the pressure across a larger area on the fish, because I don't want to kill or hurt the fish. These are also nice for those people that don't like the 'slimy, slippery' feel of a fish.
